hey Ken,
So with rubbing like that, one fix is to run more negative camber (2.8 degrees) like you said? hmmm I might have to look into that.
Right now my right front fender looks like rich's sorta but just not as extreme. At first I tried an alignment and stiff'd up the front shocks a bit. Went to a body shop and paid them $350 to get it full repaired. A week later it happened again so this time I'm having them pull/roll the fender to see if that helps. Also going to raise my front a bit and then probably take it back to Orlando for another alignment. I will ask him to induce some more negative camber to see if that helps.
Just FYI: I'm running Meister s1r (18x8, 56mm offset) on toyo T1r 225/40/ZR18

2.8* camber is your friend... i have 245s up front with no problem, but i rolled it to be safe. no rubbing even before rolling.

camber does not have a major effect on tirewear, toe does. as long as toe is right, you will be fine. my front and rear tirewear are even.... i have 3 degrees camber in the rear
That's the typical misnomer about camber. Camber kills... Nope Toe kills tire more than camber.
My Starlet had a bad alignment after I lowered it and I just put new tires on. Was too lazy to get alignment and found out 600 miles later I was on cords when I took it to finally get alignment.

yeah i know toe kills more than camber...heck, i worked at wheel works and spent some time on the hunter racks when i was in school i might as well try it. that plus the fender rolling will give me better peace of mind. thanks.

if you're going to homecoming, might want to hit up spunkysandoval. he's the fender roller guy down in so cal. does all 4 for $75 if you go to him and I think $100 if he goes to you. He's from SD.
