just got a fix it ticket at HIN!
i roll into HIN and some cop waves me towards him. long story short, he said my corners were clear and that was illegal, he said they HAVE to be amber. can anyone confirm this? is there anyway of fighting this fix-it ticket?
funny thing was he made me pop up my hood, luckily i was all stock. then he looked at my engine, and was like "is this vtec legal?"
lmao wtf...?
"no officer, this is the illegal vtec..."

i've read that by law indicators must be amber in California, at least.
^EDIT = wrong... see below post^
and could you have refused to pop your hood?
cops dun have a warrant to search your hood, so i would think you could refuse. and i probably wouldn't believe the "probable evidence suggesting modification, hence necessitating a search" BS.

yeh infraction.
i bought the car like this. does the amber color comes from the amber lense or is the bulb amber as well?
as long as it is amber as well, then it doesnt matter what the lense is right?
his reasoning was "when ur in the dark with the lights off, your car is much more noticeable in the dark with amber corners."

Amber or clear it shouldn't matter. If he wants to check if the light is DOT approved then that is another story.
