Just got the car back from Menlo Honda
The short review:
If you live on the peninsula and need warranty work done, go to Menlo Honda.
The longer review:
Last week I called Menlo Honda to schedule an appt for the Clutch TSB and 15k service. Chuck (formerly of Los Gatos Honda recommended by many) recommended Tuesday as that was the day his preferred S2000 tech would be in. Took the car in yesterday morning, ended up trading the oil change for a diff fluid change since I had just switched to Mobil 1 500 miles previously. $89.95 for the service, minus the cost of the oil and filter, but plus the cost of the gear lube. Also ended getting TSB055 done, but not for the 1-2 grind, but for some stickiness in the 3-2 downshift.
Chuck was quite happy to work on our cars and continually pointed out how they're not your run-of-the-mill Honda.
As for the fixes, have only driven home(2mi), and not over 6000rpm, but the clutch is a completely different animal, super quiet. Havent noticed a difference in the shifting just yet, but the transmission wasnt warm nor was I shifting at high revs.
The only negative things I can think of are that I'll have to reset my tire pressures (they were changed during the 15k service) and I had to enter the code for my radio. Other than that this experience was vastly superior to the experience I had previously dealing with Stevens Creek Honda's "service" department.

oh, that was your red s2000 @ menlo honda.
i was there that same day in my white/red s2k for 3750 miles oil change service.
i saw your car on the lift w/ the tranny off on the table (gears laying around), i was
about to get up closer to check out what was going on and got stopped by a guy
that works at the service dept.
my experience with menlo honda is so far so good. they have a very good service
dept.
do you happen to know if they still do warranty work if your car has a comptech
supercharger?
thanks,

I will, but this chapter of my car's life isnt over just yet. Im taking the car back in tomorrow morning. It seems as if the Shift lever return spring isnt properly pretentioned. The stick doesnt return to the center, neutral position as it should. Makes downshifting somewhat vague. But I took it by this morning and they're giving me a loaner tomorrow while they fix it. Despite this, its still a good experience, but I will add it to the DB.

Ok, the car's back and just fine. Ill add it to the Database this afternoon. The problem was the shifter return spring (its mentioned in the TSB). Apparently I was the first TSB055 that Menlo had done. Chuck's gonna make sure that they check this spring for now on since it requires dropping the transmission to replace. They even gave me a rental https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...?threadid=21548
