So what did you do the first time?
I did this:
1. Remove slave
2. Remove and cleaned metal shaft
3. Clamped slave so it didn't expand
4. Attached bleeder tube
5. Began bleeding process (with a few pumps to get it going)
6. Topped up fluid multiple times
7. Checked, saw clear fluid, with no air bubbles
8. Put it back together and went for a drive.
I noted it was smoother (because of step 2) but it grabbed 1-2inches from the floor. Now after I gravity bled it without removal of the slave some air came out. Not sure where or how that got into the system.

I'm not 100% where I went wrong.

Sometimes what happens when the fluid is lower than it should be is when you release the pedal or in this case lift the pedal it causes a vortex and suck in air.

I'm assuming the bleeder was the highest point when you were bleeding.

I want to bleed my brakes next. Think it'll be simpler? I don't want to get air into the ABS system.
