Default Jury duty random question.

Since I have turned 18 I have gotten a jury summons form every year. They give you a 12 month period in between jury duties but like clock work I get it on the thirteenth month. I have also been summoned to federal jury duty twice! I have asked several people and they have never had federal. Ages 18-80 and I have gotten it TWICE! The first time I went to federal they said people get summoned once in their life time if that. It's getting to a point where it is stressing me out because I have been called in 6 of the 7 times. Feel like I'm getting harassed. Is there anything in the world I can do?!

I can normally get out of them but I still have to at least waste one day going down to the court. My point being is getting them every year. I have gotten summoned more then both my parents combined.

...but for reals though, there's really nothing you could do get out from getting summoned.

I get summoned once a year myself; in fact mine is next week so...

It is your civil duty for being a citizen. Only way to get out for me was when I was getting deployed in the military. Actually, there's one time where I was summoned and I didn't get to go because I was sent to go to training by the Air Force. I completely forgot to tell them. I just remembered when I got back and called them right away days after the summon. They said they didn't need me so it was OK. This was just last year, too.

Ask yourself this: can they confirm you actually received the summons...

At least 6 because I have actually had to go and check in. Only one time did my group not get called in. I have sent them and email asking how many times I have been summoned and if federal court summons applies to the 12 months of no jury duty.

You signed a certified mail envelope when you received it?
