i know i can. a lot of things CAN happen but WILL it and what are the chances of it happening? that's what i'm trying to narrow it down to.

There's no way that they can prove you ever got the letter.

The county does not have the resources available to "go after you" for not appearing.

For every person that skips out, there's another 2000 people that they can sub in for you.

in my entire lifetime ive had about 4 jury duty letters. Never went to any of them. I never called or anything....no jail time yet.

I tried every excuse in the world when I was 21 I got called,.. didn't work had to sit on a Murder trial for 3 weeks,.. My first time seeing an actual dead person; very graphic autopsy photos, showing a skull bashed in with brains and hair mixed together ( I nearly passed out),.. not fun.

In the end we did the right thing and I felt good to serve.

Just say you have friends in Law enforcement. Hopefully you do because I do.

Remember the Oakland case w/ the "Night Riders?" Well my boy rode around w/ them once and told me about it... I kept my mouth shut... After that I told him not to tell me shit like that.
