Haha, this reminds me of a funny story from my law professor
He was summoned for jury duty and didn't want to do it because he would have to miss class - which would throw off his entire curriculum for the semester.
He's an older white guy and said that when he showed up (yes, he showed up) and they brought all the possible jurors in he looked at the defendant.
Well, the defendant was a 20-something black guy. My professor said he just said there and gave that guy the meanest dirtiest you're-going-to-prison type of look he could. The defendant quickly pulled his lawyer aside, and my professor was quickly dismissed from the jury selection.
Sure, you would have to show up to do that... but it's a pretty clever way of getting out. Now lawyer is going to keep someone who very noticeably hates their client.

one of my lawyer clients got called in. i think it was a pedophile case. they asked which jurors felt disturbed or uncomfortable with this type of case.
the lawyer responded with something along the lines of, "you should be asking which jurors find some sort of pleasure out these type of cases"
obviously, he was dimissed immediately.

i'm really on the fence with this one. everytime i ask someone i get 1 of 2 responses. it's either "toss it" or "dont toss it, you can go to jail".
i should just stop asking people and toss it!!
