I purchased the JIC (Single Ti Tip / SS pipe) exhaust last week from Docofmind for $785. It's a beautiful unit - perfect fit/perfect welds and weighs only 13 lbs (I can hold the entire exaust up with one finger). I'm selling it because it is too loud for my taste! It sounds awesome, but the volume is just too high (doesn't help that I removed all the interior pieces--including the sound deadening material--from the trunk).

With the silencer installed (takes 30 sec.) the exhaust is relatively quiet and is perfect for someone who shifts under 6K RPM. The increased back pressure actually seemed to increase low/mid range grunt. But over 6K RPM the car doesn't pull as hard as stock.

Problem is that I rarely shift under 6K RPM.

Without the silencer it's loud when on or off the throttle, but pretty quiet at constant RPMs.

I prefer to sell it to someone in the bay area, but will post it in the main forum soon if no one around here bites.

I am interested in this. I would like to hear it in person. Loud is a subjective judgement call based on how deaf you have become over the years. Let me know if you are available this weekend.

 

I uninstalled it this evening, but I did take video/sound prior to the uninstall. I can email the video.

I paid $785 pm Monday, but would regretfully consider offers around $650, unless anyone has a set of coilovers, C&T Engineering brake ducts or perhaps other tempting parts you'd like to trade!
