Default JDM Theory disaster story...

After coming back home late from the show I noticed when I got out of my car that I've been sitting on chewing gum.

I had the top down at the show and some schmuck must have spat gum on my seat when they were giving out awards. Anyways I had to vent, also does anyone got any suggestions on how to remove the gum? Theres about 3/4" of gum stuck on seat

that sucks.. try using some leather cleaner or maybe some rubbing alcohol (might damage the leather tho, im not sure try consulting the wash and wax forum and see if they can point you in the right direction.. i can't believe someone would deliberately throw a piece of gum into someone else's car. I was a bit scared to leave the top down at the show as well..

Take an ice cube onto the gum and freeze it. Once it hardens it becomes much easier to remove. That sucks man. I saw too many kids leaning on cars that didn't belong to them. Even Vu caught some guys sitting in Ricks Rio!

I'd be wary of using any alcohol based cleaner. But try goo gone(I don't think this is alcohol based). And then finish up with a good leather cleaner.

You could try some warm water with a microfiber and some elbow grease though. Hopefully it hasn't had too much time to harden.

Haters FTL!

-Edit - I guess the freezing stuff works better! So don't take my advice.

Hey Amer,
For clothes you can try freezing it and then scaping it off. You can put an ice cube to it or i like turning a can of compressed air upside down to freeze it.

Nice meeting you yesterday. NFR FTW!

On my 06 Vette, I also got played when I left my top down with gum. I used goo-gone and it worked out fine. But just for good measures, I wiped as much goo-gone off possible and till this day it looks normal.
