My brother works at a govt. aircraft company and he brought home this really cool blue film that is transparent and supposedly is used on defense machinery to prevent scratching. I have it on my cell and it works great.
another alternative is to have someone apply Lumar clear bra protectant on the back side of your Ipod. works equally well and no more scratches

why dont you use the screen protector that they sell for the psp? and just put it on then cut it to fit? i did that with my cell phones and my sidekick2. it works so great it doesnt even look like there is a protector on it.

I recommend Martin Fields protector. I have it on my 60gb. Video since Nov. & its held up well. NO SCRATCHES @ ALL! The front fits perfectly and never moves around. The back is another story. They made the back piece a bit too big. The edges end where the ipod starts curving, so it never stays down. I simply xacto'ed 2mm from the edges & now it fits perfectly. So day to day, I use the slip-on case along w/ the MF. During the gym, I bought the inCase belt case.
Here's a pic I had laying around. You probably can't tell the protector is there, but I guess that's the point. If you need better pics let me know.
