Yeah, I can't fully recommend Wawanesa until I have to file a claim. I also don't like the 800 number to reach an agent, but thats the perks of cheap insurance.
I had only had my S2k for a few months when something flew off a dumptruck and skittered across my front bumper, hood, and left fender... gouging down to the metal in some parts. The cost to repaint was $1547.
Get this: My Wawanesa insurance cost to cover both my S2k and my CRX was $1000 a year for both cars, with $100 deductable for comprehensive.
The guy from Wawa came out, saw the damage and signed off on the repair with no hassles.
So essentially, since the repaint was $1500+, and I only paid Wawa $1000 for that year... they essentially insured me for free! And the next year, my insurance rates were actually LOWER! So really Wawanesa didn't make any money off of me for 1.5 years, with no hassle, no problems.
Wawanesa
p.s.-- While I'm on the subject of getting my car repainted, for those of you in the East Bay who might need any paint or body work, DO NOT go to D&S Body Shop in San Ramon. I can't tell you how many times I had to take my car back there for them to buff out and fix crappy paint work.
Please warn your friends: D&S Body Shop does shit work.
