Default Immobilizer strikes again!

Well, my immobilizer works. That's the good news.

I tried to start my car the other day, and it just turned over and over and over and wouldn't start. Well, with my keen engineering sense, I decided to press the button a few more times. Still nothing. Finally, I took out my key, and the cursed little green key icon on the dash stayed lit.

I put the key in again, and it fired up just right.

The moral: think before you just hold the little red button for a minute, thinking it will eventually start.

Hi chroot,

You forgot the most important thing to do when your car doesn't start... Get out and kick the tires. Always works for me!

The UK immobiliser will not even let the car turn over.

Nor will in the US.. The starter engages, but there is no ignition.
