Default I'm an idiot -spare key stuck in ignition HELP

Yo,
I feel really stupid for not checking first. Don't like making threads and wasting people's time on dumb shit
-But I was at the hardware store for something else, then decided to make a copy of the s2k key because they had Honda blanks for $2... well stupid me, didn't realize there was a chip in the key. I get home (i was in my e30), open door to s2k: works. Put key in ignition: works.. turn key to on. clutch in, push start, cranks and cranks.. but doesn't fire up. I'm like o shit, prob something w the key because I know the car is fine. I go to remove the key and it doesnt let me push to get to the in/out position to release the key so it will come out! FCK I make sure its not the steering lock.. NOPE. Key is stuck in to the position where the radio continues to play! What do I do now! Can't drive it, luckily its sitting in front of my house w the radio off..

Has this happened to anyone before? What do I do now to get it out? I wanna take a plyers to force it but I'm scared it could end of snapping or breaking the ignition. Thanks for any advice/help ahead of time.

Maybe reset the ECU? Take out the negative on the battery for a few minutes. If you have a stock radio, make sure you have the security code.

I'd do what tkeyyy said and keep trying to wiggle the key to see if that helps.

yeah, i'd keep trying. maybe the key is cut sharp still so its just a bit jammed. the chip shouldn't have anything to do with it not coming out. thats just sending info to start it.

yeap, I tried wiggling it, and everything else. I looked really close at the key, and I believe the problem is because the top part of the key doesn't allow it to be pushed in far enough to turned back to the setting in which it can be taken out.. if only I could sneak a drill/dremel or something to drill out those notches so I can push in far enough for it to turn the rest of the way to OFF

call a locksmith and pass the bill to the store manager at the hardware store. Im serious, my aunt had the same problem and the store paid her bills.

can you twist it in the different positions or is it just stuck in 1 position?
