But does that work for everyone or just car shows? I prefer to tune to my ears.

If you think your ears is tuned well enough, then by all means, but likely your ear tends to be a little bias.

I'll go with my ears since they're the ones that are listening to the music and if they're happy all is good

Ah I see, I guess I always saw it like suspension, there really is no perfect setup for everyone.

tweeking the amp isn't what I want. I want a customized EQ setting that actually uses all the speakers. Right now the subs are hardly a factor and they absolutely MUST be. I know a little about sound systems but the technicalities of crossovers, distances of "throw" to make the sound uniform, keeping highs high and mids mid-range, compressors, and such I only know a little bit about. I COULD technically tune it my ears as you say but I want to use the headunit to its full potential.
