I need help NOW.
Drove down from Humboldt this morning. Stopped to get a burger at IN N Out Rhonert park. Come out to my car, turn the key and the dash lights flicker a bunch times and then wont start.
If you have any idea what this is or can lend a hand shoot me a text or call me. Joey. Seven oh seven 616 one zero zero two.
Really would appreciate it as I'm just sitting here without a clue.

need new battery, alternator belt, or alarm starter kill is tripped. check those possibilities.
sidenote, took a drive up to Humboldt & Eureka a couple weeks ago. really nice drive & scenery.
good luck!
EDIT:
if it doesn't even turn over, it's not the alternator belt. check the battery or see if starter kill got tripped. jump it, & take it to shop.

Most likely your issue is dead battery. The alternator was providing power while you were driving, but since the battery wasn't taking a charge, as soon as you kill the engine, you were SOL.
If the alternator was dead, you would have likely drained the battery way before you got to Sacramento and the car would have died. You would have seen other symptoms as well, like your radio or radar detector stop working.

Alarm starter kill is a definite possibility, but other accessories like stere should work fine if that's the case.
Sounds like failing battery to me. Push starting a car is pretty fun actually, consider yourself lucky!

Done deal. Bought a battery at oreilly. Push started the f'n thing... died about 100 yards from oreilly's. Thanks for the input. Had the alternator checked, 14.41v. So we good. Crisis averted. 240 miles from home sucks. But I gotchu guys to keep me company. I'm out. One.
