If I believe what I read on Ticket Assasins this is also in part because it's cheaper for them to send you to TS than give you points... or they make more money... Either way. I'm going to try it. I went by "Supreme Court" today to check things out. I'll get back to you all on the outcome.

In the meantime... leave your experiences here. Thanks Ev.

A few years back I received 2 tickets in 2 weeks, both for speeding. Prior to those tickets I had one about 6 months earlier that I went to traffic school for. I used ticketassassin.com to fight both of the tickets and one was dismissed and the other I was found guilty but since I requested Traffic School, I was court ordered to attend traffic school. As I understand it, zero pts appear on my record however, the insurance company can see that I was found guilty for a speeding ticket. I went to traffic school and my insurance didnt go up so it was all good. I spoke to court clerk about what all this meant and she said it was all good. That the insurance company may raise my premiums or not. But typically if they see you are attending traffic school even though you were found guilty they will view that in a positive light.

I recently got a speeding ticket also, I found a mistake on the ticket, my last name
was spelled incorrectly. Is this a valid reason to have my ticket dismissed and what
steps do I need to take? Thanks.

Asura... first one was in Santa Cruz... whatever county that is. Second in Almeda.

Slim... My reading says "no" not enough to dismiss. But what I read says it may indicate that if the officer wasn't paying much attention when he/she wrote the ticket they may not have been paying much attention when they thought they saw you commit and infraction.

I'm going Wed morning... I'll let you know what happens.
