I know exactly what's going on, I just wanted to examine the possibility of a parallel conversation. My eclipse blew its 3rd engine at 220,000 miles and I donated it to my mechanic for a bargain price. To make my story relevant to the actual thread I can say that I took it to a few bimmer forums group drives and the people enjoyed me tagging along. It was nothing but love. This was about ten years ago though.

Some of the guys from BMWCCA weren't so welcoming of my Camry, they were less thrilled about it after the drive lol

There's plenty of AMG cars and a few exotics too that usually show up at Bimmerfest. Was there in a friend's ride a few years back and he had an IS-F. It's really a car gathering so I don't see what the issue is for driving an s2000. A lot of M3 owners also own or have had s2000's prior. I'm not sure if you can park with the BMW's though, they probably have a guest lot.

Planning to be there this year but in a minivan

I'll be there in an STi most likely. We'll have to park in the lot far far away from everyone else.
