Default I heard some people test drove this s2k?

Just curious why no one has pulled the trigger on this car yet. Wondering if any of those people are on these boards. I'm thinking of getting it if the price was reduced. How much would you pay?

Please excuse me if these posts are getting redundant to you all.

Probably because that's a lot to ask for an S2 with 192,000 miles on it.

I wouldn't pay over $5,000...

Have you personally test driven this vehicle? Do you know that this has the plastic rear window and that it is a PIA? Have you determined that this is a legit sale? (Why is this guy selling it for a friend? - Why isn't the friend selling it?) How does it run, and specifically how is it at idle? Does it start smoothly? Do you know what kind of driver the previous owner was?

There's a lot of reasons why this car may not have sold, and you want to make sure this is a good buy. See if you can get maintenance records well.

LEMON? Mileage and Cons says it all. If mileage doesn't bother you, You might want to check the front end frame since he mentioned that the passenger headlight "Bracket" is bent. And ask tons of questions.

Might be worth buying as a track car. I'd expect to be re-building the motor around 220K.

Have you heard of BlueBook? Fair condition is $4800 and Good condition is $5800.

I have a hunch Edmunds TMV will be between $4-5k.

The little poking around I've done on this forum has some drivers seeing bearings go about 220K. That is a lot of miles on a highly strung motor. So expecting another 100K without motor trouble is unrealistic, though it MIGHT happen. Just know what you're buying and factor that into your purchase. If you couldn't afford to rebuild the motor in 30K you probably cannot afford to buy a car getting close to 200K.

It's a ultra high mileage sports car. Not a v6 accord.

I'd pay $4000 for it with only the information posted. I'd put aside $3000 in a rainy day fund for when something major goes. Like a spun bearing. That makes it a $7,000 car. Which you might not be able to find a better buy for $7K. So your call dude.
