Default I hate thieves

A dozen cop cars pulled into the driveway, came knocking on the door asking for me.

Me: yeah that's me officer.
Officers: where's your car? Toyota Corolla?
Me: it should be parked right there.
Officers: where were you between 11am-1230am?
Me: sleeping?..

They check my car and find out I have 2 different license plates. Looks like some a@$%@*! swapped license plates with my car and was just involved in a police chase 680N Walnut Creek. It could've been worse, at least they didn't steal my car. I feel sorry for the owner of a 2010 blue Toyota Camry. Now I can't sleep because that was a sh*tload of cops and I feel I must now keep an eye for my cars. Grrr DMV tomorrow, the last place I want to be on my day off.

Sorry for the rant, just upset on how low thieves are.

I had a similar incident a couple of years ago. Plates are easily stolen and I don't think anyone would notice if their plate were switch. There should be a more secure way to lock it than just a few screws. This is like stealing a driver license without ever going into the wallet.

Correct. I would be more pissed if it was my S2k. Yeah, who checks their license plates? they didn't even bother taking my license frame, very sneaky.. Is there any way to lock the license plate with a special screw?

I've always been weary of something like this happening so I typically find ways to lock down/secure the license plates. I also cut up my registration stickers for those sneaky people that attempt to steal peoples stickers. Crazy story, hope everything turns out okay for you.
