I filled up at a Shell gas station this morning and the pump did not shut off automatically. Gas was spilled all over the side of my beautifully washed car. I hate pumps that don't shut off, I'll never use that pump again.

I didn't know they had pumps anymore that didn't shut off. Was it an old station?

hmmm....ive never ran into one of those before....where is this shell station located?

Tell em you're going to call the EPA for improper equipment. Bet it'll be fixed in the morning

It is a fairly new Shell station, and new pump. It did shut off, but only after it spilled a load of gas outside the tank all over the side of my car. I don't really care about the station fixing their pump, as I don't use that station very often. Of course, now I know to avoid them if at all possible. And if I do use them, I'd be extra careful and not rely on the auto shut-off.

Despite the accident at Shell, you gotta admit they've got the best air pumps in town! I love their pumps
