Default I am the latest victim of the dreaded shipping spacers

Yes indeed after I took in my beautiful silverstone w/ red (the only true sports car color offered of course) I was promptly told that the dealer left in the spacers and that the dealer I took her into for the first service, 7554 miles (YES 7500 miles), would not take them out becuse he was afraid there could be damage and did not want to get into a pi$$ing match with the other dealer.

Took it in... obviously they were very embarrassed... looked over the entire car all the lower arms etc. Everything seemed fine. We took for a test drive (me and Service Manager) and the alignment was fine too. My bad I should have checked myself earlier. I just thought that the suspension was really stiff... it was. Now I like the car even BETTER.

Oh well can't dwell. Things good now and I am even happier than I was this morning.

No not SF Honda...I wouldn't buy toilet paper from them.

it was Concord Honda... Not sure I would buy toilet paper from them now either

I really don't think that it hurt anything but I have requested a document from them saying that this happened so that if any suspension problems come up in the future I will go to them or send to AHM.

The Service Manager blamed it on sales of course (Not sure how that works??? )

I am going to take my car down to Larry Hopkins when I get back from business in HK to have them check it out just to be sure.

Were they on both rear coils? How many per coil were left?

total BS when you think about how bay area dealers jack up the price
and they don't get alot of S2000's. Plus - the most expensive Honda
they sale yada yada...Its pure laziness and disrespect for the customer.

I found two spacers in my left rear as I was about to drive my new 02
off the lot. Thx to this news group, I caught it early. Needless to say,
my customer survey reviews will not be "excellent" and Honda pays
attention to this stuff.

My dealer(hopkins) actually pre filled in the customer response form
with all excellent comments and cried me a river about how important
these surveys were. I have not sent it back as I like to wait a couple
months.
