It is definitely important for people to understand that there are multiple accidents on these roads every single week. Often multiple per day. They almost always occur during normal commute hours and after hours and there are many causes.

If driving quickly in a controlled track environment makes you nervous, I would highly recommend avoiding the mountains. The road, weather, and animals are basically doing everything in their power to make sure you fly off the road.

Majority of the accidents are clueless drivers driving tr speed limits. I've helped countless numbers of them in my decades living in the hills.
