Hwy1 North of the Bay

This is a great road, don't go fast but take in the views. Any time we get up there we take this road. We have had our "S" on it at least 5 times, never gets old always something new to see.

Here is a good site for fun roads in Oregon

To see the country you have to get off the big Hwy's
Have a fun and safe drive.

Thumbs up! I've been as far North as Ft. Bragg. The roads are in great condition. From Marin to HWY116, as mentioned, is a bit touristy. North of that the road opens up as there is much less traffic. The Bay Area weekend runners don't really go to far north of 116.
All and all its a very pleasant trip. You feel if that road is made for the S! Enjoy!
Oh, and as mentioned by goteki, it does get pretty sparse, so be mindful of fuel.
Oh, word to the wise. Don't fill up in Mendocino or Little river. Its a tourist trap and gas prices are ridiculous! I pulled into a Chevron in Mendocino and saw premium 91 for $6.03/gal. In that stretch, prices are best in Ft. Bragg.
