Hey Ev, the green line is not Highway 9 - it's actually Page Mill Rd, Alpine and Pescadero Rd. Only a piece of Highway 9 is visible in the bottom right hand corner. This green line is a great drive. It's even better if you make a right at the town of Pescadero (yummy artichoke soup at Edwarte's) onto Stage Rd (not visible on your map). Stage Rd ends at the town of San Gregario. Stage Rd is a great twisty alternative to the parallel portion of Highway 1.

ahh, alpine! when i first moved here, I'd leave work early on some days and race up page mill, down alpine and then to pescadero rd. to catch sunset over the ocean those were the days...I could make the drive from my office in mtn view to the coast in 1hr flat.
