Default Hwy 236 (off hwy 9)

on Monday me and 2 friends (one with MR2, other with 3000GT) went for a cruise down Skyline/Hwy 9/Hwy 236. We have some vids/pics I will get up soon for the hell of it.

Just wanted to see who else has driven this before? Once you get on 236 its a crazy road, extremely windy with tight corners. Only 1 wide lane down the whole road. There are almost no straightaways on the hwy and it was tons of fun.

Just wondering if anyone else has ran this road, maby we can get a drive together?

Used to do it with the VW guys . . . never got to do it in the S.

I was going to add it to the ill-fated Bonny Doon trip. . .
If you go as a group, I HIGHLY reccommend parsing it out to 3-5 car groups with plenty of space.

Also, be mindful of who you're with - the state rangers look for weekend drivers inside Big Basin park. . . nail you for noise violations.

I've done it once and never again will I return. Too much gravel on 236. It is one wide lane but with many pot holes.

Don't like 236, that road is too tight for my taste. You are almost on 1st geat all the time. I'd rather do 9, 32 and 84 west toward Hwy 1. Can't wait to ride my bike up there again when the weather gets a bit warmer.

Those pictures was taken on Saturday. I was up there on Monday and the roads were dry and no more snow. Mount Hamilton is a different story...
