im thinking of making one last pch drive in my car, from marina del rey to SF area nd northward. *around bodega bay maybe fort bragg even*, and SF back this weekend.. anyone interested in joining me on certain parts of this drive let me know. leaving LA area on friday night, possibly sat morning, and returning thru SF probably early sunday morning around 10 am. just an idea so sad.. to part with this. so sad.

 

i'm planning to do the opposite way this sunday , north to south. stay the night and head back north monday. i drove to fort bragg last sunday, and it was really nice and fun.

Its a long drive down highway 1. 0.0 It made my 4 hr trip into a 12 hour

 

I love driving Hwy 1. I used to take it from SF to San Luis Obispo...a good 6 hour drive.

The best part is between San Luis Obispo and Santa Cruz. The roads get WINDY and it's a total blast when there isn't any traffic!

north to south? im planning on heading back south on sunday. when and where u leaving/stopping?

its a fun drive, did it a few times before and its always a blast in the s.. big sur has some nice twisties, altho there's road construction there right now so some parts are a bit bumpy/gravelly. went thru it two weeks ago and the kelp beds were outta control! all the way down.. just outta control.

yea, moving so have to uh, get rid of the car, can't bring it with me.. unless someone wants to take over payments but its hard to find ppl to trust.

yea, the plan is starting from Fremont around 10am. Stop by Duarte's Tavern (http://www.duartestavern.com) for lunch, and other various stops for breaks, snacks, fuel, and site seeing.

There were about 6 cars planning to go, but 2 have backed out due to work schedule so the whole plan is still in the air right now.
