Paint is normally worth $400-500
Bumper normally costs $300

So it's your call. I was lucky to find a used AP2 bumper in the black market for $250.

got mine from bayareabumper, as a reconditioned one, looks just like brand new. had a guy from oakland painted it for 150. He did hella a job on both front and rear bumpers on my car.

pm me if you want his number.

note that when you buy a reconditioned bumper, you ned to give them your old one as a core.

Hi,

I paid $80 on Craigslist ( San Francisco ) for a used AP1 rear bumper in red. The bumper had a few paint chips and bumper checks. I had the bumper fixed and repainted GPW for $100 bucks.

My total $180.00

My guess is to see it in person, offer him $200 or so...

Last time I checked a brand new bumper was roughly $340.00

Got pictures of the results, before/after?

If he really does a good job, I'd love to get my replacement front bumper finally painted.

Its been sitting for a year because I refuse to pay $500 to have 20 dollars in paint sprayed at a random body shop and haven't had time to located a reputable private painter to do it on the side...
