I believe I've put about 36,280 miles on the car since I got it. I think I'm averaging driving about 20,000 miles per year!
Ok now I am in detective mode, as you can see the records, as quoted by various Honda dealerships, and a local (and untrustworthy mechanic named Niki Tam @ Acutech Autos. cite various percentages of brake life). The Honda dealers were Grace Honda, and Honda of Serramonte, probably explaining the inconsistencies on brake life (%).
MOM'S Maintenance
11/15/2005 @ 17,745 = "front brakes @ 40%, rear brakes @ 75%"
03/14/2006 @ 22,382 = "front brakes @ 70%, rear brakes @ 65%"
10/05/2006 @ 30,745 = "front brakes @ 40%, rear brakes @ 80%"
02/22/2007 @ 36,804 = "front brakes @ 28%, rear brakes @ 70%"
10/06/2007 @ 45,671 = "replaced front brake pads, rear brakes rated at 80%"
10/08/2008 @ 61,228 = "front brakes @ 4mm, rear brakes @ 3mm"
MY Maintenance
01/31/2010 @ 76,165 = I inherited the car with 76,165 on the odometer according to pink slip.
05/16/2011 @ 100,279 = "brand new OEM front and rear pads and rotors".
10/22/2011 @ 112,456 = "brand new OEM rear pads, fronts not fully inspected, but appeared to have some meat on them"

Your rear pads lasted a hundred thousand miles between you and your mom which seems normal for rear pads. I think you should be getting around 30 thousand miles out of your rear pads.
Did you get them fixed yet?

Last weekend, the weekend after Skaggs, I replaced the rear pads with my buddy. We just followed the shop manual, and did a straight up pad swap with OEM rears. No more squeals, and haven't felt the wheel yet to test the warmth comparison between rear wheels.
