LOL forreal, the suspense is killing me. This did sound like important information for the community to know.

About 11,000 miles ago, I got new OEM rotors/pads installed... Strange for a rear to wear before the front, but I suspect a sticky caliper.
I think it's interesting that your rears wore down in 11k, aggressive mountain driving or otherwise, whereas everyone else is wearing out well past 50-60k miles, if at all.

What are the symptoms for sticky calipers?
I wasn't aware of a sticky caliper issue on s2000s until it appeared to be happening to me. My friend told me about it, so I started searching on the forums. The general symptom is obvious, that the sticky caliper wears the pad down at an accelerated rate, noticeable once the wear indicator begins wearing a hole in your ear drum. As well, you can touch the wheel of the affected brake, and feel a noticeably warmer wheel due to the friction caused.

Thank you for everyone who has posted so far, and who will post in the future in this thread.

What I am learning is either:
1) there is a problem with my brakes
2) I drive (brake) more aggressively than the average driver (particularly commuters)
3) BOTH!

I guess people who know my driving style and know what my version of a commute (to La Honda) looks like. Something tells me that Page Mill, Alpine, Pescadero, and 84 could possibly wear down some pads faster than the average Joe. Not to mention, the pace involved...

I do know when my mom used to own the S, she lasted probably 40k or more on the pads, and my dad's 2007 civic Si is still on OEM pads with mileage high, but unknown ATM.

I had a sticky caliper and had to replace it. Had the "lot's" of brake dust, warmer than usual wheel sysmptoms. Pretty cheap to get a caliper from Milpitas Honda.

Just replaced the fronts after about 53k, rears still looked fine, but I'm a slow daily driver...

My stock fronts lasted about 70k, 15k of which were put on by me.(although maybe the previous owner already replaced them before)

Currently on stoptech pads, which are holding up okay, and are a good improvement over stock for street driving. I do mostly daily driving with a few mountain runs every now and then.

I'm going to have to dig into the records for that one. The thing is, my mother owned the car for a majority of the miles on the previous set of pads. Her driving style is "different" than mine, we'll leave it at that for now, LOL.

I'll try to dig up the historical records, if they exist.
