Default How many miles do your stock brake pads last?

I have a 2004 Honda s2000 Ap2.

About 11,000 miles ago, I got new OEM rotors/pads installed.
About a week ago, my rear right pad was on a wear indicator, while the rear left had a bit more life comparatively. I didn't check the fronts, but would assume that they are getting close to the end of their life. Strange for a rear to wear before the front, but I suspect a sticky caliper.

My driving style is probably one which would wear the pads quicker than the average commuter, since I live in the mountains, but I don't tend to be hardcore brake-addicted. EDIT: I think I do drive slightly on the aggressive side.

1. Set up
2. Mileage
3. Driving style

Let me know people, I'm curious..mostly about OEM.

I'm not sure if mine are original, but I met an original owner of a 2001 a few weeks ago. He has owned his stook for 10 years, 65k miles, and he's still on his original brake pads. Tires are another story, he said

I know it's not comparable, but I got 120,000 miles out of the front pads on my Accord.

For the S2000, I really don't know because I changed them out super early in preparation for a track day.

It's extremely important to get your brakes done by a shop that doesn't just do pad swaps, especially for someone that drives like you do.

I'm on my second set of stock rears and the first died at the track and the second set were abused but not killed at the track but they're dead now. I have like 50k miles with some XP8 rears that I used up on the street because they weren't up to track use anymore so I'm going to guess around 20k or so for stock rear pads.

The fronts maybe 25k?Just a guess.

I use up my old track stuff on the street when it's had enough track duty so it's hard to say.

The first comment is crucial for proper pad wear and braking.

My only prior front/rear pad/rotor replacement was all OEM parts, and serviced by Joey. I'm not sure what you mean by "a shop that doesn't just do pad swaps". Can you clarify? At the time I needed new rotors, and I was given an option to purchase new rotors, or have my old ones machined. I chose to get the new ones. Also, had the brake fluid changed at that time.
