How low are you guys sitting w/ our roads?
Basically this is/will be my wheel setup
Front:
215/45/17 Sumi HRT
17x8 +48 Wheels
Rear:
245/40/17
17x8 +48 Wheels
Basically my question is from stock height, how low of a drop do you think I can go w/ our road conditions and without fender mods. This is my DD
Thanks guys

With NO risk of pulling out a fender? Not much. IMHO almost anything over an inch or and inch and a half so of a drop and you're at risk for pulling out a fender if you don't drive carefully. This also depends on how stiff your springs are. It's not so much about road conditions as it is driveways and parking lot entrances. If you have your wheels at near full lock and you go over something that'll compress your springs, you're probably going to make contact with your fender lip, and it'll get pulled out.
It sounds like you don't want to roll the fenders but your best bet really is to roll and drop to your heart's content. Spunky seems like he'll be in the area regularly through wayde's shop in Santa Clara and he does all four for very cheap.

Infact, there's an open spot THIS Sunday for a fender roll with spunky at speedstar.

Hmmm good to know, thanks. Any idea an approximation of what he charges? I wasn't planning on going any lower than 1.5" but if rolling will make it that much safe then I might as well do it anyway, and see if I can get more out of it. I don't plan on doing a full setup until likely this summer so I was thinking I might just get some springs as an interim

I forget how much it was for all four, but it was dirt cheap to me like ~$150 for all four if I remember correctly, prices might not be the same now so don't take my word for it. PM speedstar808 and find out and reserve a time. Wayde over there is a great guy, he's got an S too.

Also I think it's even MORE important that you get a roll if you plan on dropping with just springs, springs usually drop a surprising amount for the S2000, my jaw dropped when I first installed my Espiler springs. Looks awesome, but... the springs are still relatively soft and it makes it easier for a fender pullout to happen.

Roll it and forget about it. He can do a moderate flare too that won't require any re-paint/body work and will give you just a little more clearance.
Rolling all 4 and relocating your rear bumper tab will be cheaper than pulling a fender and having to repair and repaint 1 side.
I got mine done by Spunky a while ago and went to him so mine was even cheaper than $150. Eitherway if it's in the $150 range, it's still a pretty good price. He does excellent work and it's well worth it.
