How do you know if you are Test Only for SMOG?
My beater needs a smog and I never received the reg in the mail. How do I find out if I go to test only vs smog repair test shop (besides waiting in line at the DMV)?
Did the DMV standardize on "even year" cars going to Test Only and "odd year" cars going to repair test shop?
Just trying to prevent looking like a noob at the smog shop...
TIA

it should say on your notice. there is also dmv url that shows you what cars are more likely to fail and those cars go for test only every year. i forgot the URL so no help there. haha

This is funny... got a sexy voice operator who didn't know a damn thing except to tell me that I have to go to test only this year (at least that solves my immediate problem).
I asked what was the formula for test only vs repair shop smog... she said, "Voodoo." I said I know Vu does, but I don't.
She didn't laugh. I thought everybody knew Vu?
