no its not okay to redline, you should vary speed, use little throttle, never rev over 4 or 5k, let the engine machining finish and then redline every gear, every day, all year long.

If you can explain to me why I should never redline my cars in first or second when brand new I'll never do it again. I would guess that the load created in first or second revving to redline would be far less than the load that you would put on the motor passing someone on the freeway.
