NY Steak at Alexander's is good. It's a dry meat so order it one notch down than you normally would.

I'd love to try Alexander's, but don't know if I'm ready to drop 200 bucks on dinner.

broadway prime isnt as good as it was... was there a few weeks ago, but Harris, which is a few blocks down from House of Prime Rib is possibly better, and if you're ordering the same as you would at HoPR it costs about the same as well, plus they have a full menu with other options and appetizers as well.
I agree

1. Harris'
2. House of Prime Rib
3. Broadway prime. (<-it is the cheapest though)

Has anyone tried "Iron Chef" course at Alexander's? I head it costs 4 digits for two...

I actually think Alexander's prime rib is better than House of Prime Rib. Plus, they have other choices in steak and seafood as well as a full range of appetizers and salads. I've actually not been back to HOPR since Alexander's opened, and I used to go there quite often.
I'll have to disagree with you here Ben. I've had both and enjoy HoPR's prime rib a good amount more. While I can definitely vouch for Alexander's steaks (especially the Kobe & the Kobe Experience), I thought their prime rib wasn't as tasty or tender as HoPR's. I have yet to try Broadway Prime.

As far as Alexander's goes, I'd recommend the 32oz T-Bone or Ribeye with the Lobster Tempura appetizer with a side of White Truffle Fries and sriracha mayo.

You can probably get out of there for a little over $50-$60 a head if you don't order any alcohol.

Don't get me wrong, House of Prime Rib isn't bad by any means. It's still an excellent Prime Rib. It's just become my #2 choice now.
