Default Home security

For those of you with home security services with either ADT or Brinks, which one is better based on features, pricing, etc...? Pros and Cons....

Thanks in advance.

Buy one and install it yourself and then use another company to monitor for only 10 bucks a month.

Home alarms are kinda useless if the Police won't respond to the break-ins. My friend has ADT and has a awol sensor on one of his doors. It went off once while he was home with his wife and baby and the ADT said they were dispatching the Police. An hour passed with him sitting locked in his bedroom waiting for the Police. They never showed. He called back ADT and they said that the call to the Polce went in an hour ago and that they will call again.

So YMMV, but a home alarm is great to let you know a window or door is broken into, but you'll have to figure out a way to defend yourself if someone really does a home invasion on you.

bay alarm does not seem to offer incentives like adt or anything.

adt i believe offers free basic installation

hm interesting. whenever my alarm trips, if we don't get to it fast enough, cops are dispatched and we have to call it in. if we don't, cops are at our door in like 10 mins.

and you get fined for false alarms where cops are sent out..... speaking from past experience
