Approximately how much time will it take the police to identify and arrest the suspect under this circumstance? Any clues?
Usually, they would find the car responsible and match the damage on your car with the damage on their car, if the damages seems like they match up with each other, thats when they can be prosecuted i believe

happened to my friend once but his hit n run doesn't sound as bad as yours

Once again, Good Luck

Don't worry, everything will work out

LOLCANO ERUPTION

wow similar thing happened to me outside the ranch 99 off wolfe. this 30+ chinese lady, doesnt properly return/secure her shopping cart and it rolls into my S while i am backing up. she sees the whole thing happen, and as i get out of my car to confront her, she just drives away as fast as she can without apology or acknowledgement of the mistake. the shopping cart scuffed up my bumper... this is wut happens when you try to save 50 cents on some baby bok.

Wow! Sorry to hear about your incident. At least you have witnesses and the license plate #. Hope it will work out in your favor.

A few years ago I had something like this happen to me. My WRX was one week old, and I took it to Mitsuwa. When I got back to the car with the groceries, someone had backed into my rear bumper, putting a six inch scar on it. Not as bad as your case, but I was pretty pissed off!

I have my own opinions about the stereotype and reasons behind Asians and immigrants in general having sh*tty driving habits, but I'll keep them to myself. Or else I'll probably offend everyone on here!

I get paranoid everytime I park my S. I always feel like there are times when the S is a burden because I am always worrying about it.
True! That's probably the main reason I don't daily drive my S.

You're right... it does sound like a burden in that case. You own the car, don't let the car own you.

In the end, it's just property, like anything else, and shit will happen. You can prevent it by not driving it as much but where is the fun in that? I daily drive mine and enjoy every minute of it, even if I do worry a little from time to time.

your insurance should go after the driver since you have the info and witnesses.
