Hit and Run :(

Hit and Run :(
2004 GPW. All stock.
Was a victim of a hit and run. Anybody have recommendations for where I can get good pricing for a replacement bumper and where I can get good work done? It looks like only the bumper was damaged and spared the fender and suspension, but can't tell for sure until someone can get it on a lift. The car isn't driveable at the moment because the black fender casing on the wheel well is sitting on the tire.
Oakland/SF area.
I just moved here. Welcome to the Bay o_0

Hate those guys. No integrity whatsoever. My sister was involved in a hit and run. Someone in an "a team" van hit her on the side of her car and left her on the road. Guy got away and good thing my sister is ok.

My advice is to take off the entire bumper, and crow bar out the fender casing to make it drivable. Next you need to decide whether paying the deductible is worth it. I had almost the exact same thing happen to mine, but they got a piece of the fender as well
My guess is that the price of a used painted bumper will be less than your deductible, but I would still get it inspected for frame damage by some professionals.

Dang, that sucks! Luckily only the bumper was damaged. You should source a new bumper for like $250-300 from hondapartsccheap.com. They're located in milpitas. Paint will cost around $200-300. If your deductible is $500, it's probably not worth going through insurance.

you can go to
Technics Autobody & Detailing

San Bruno, CA 94066
they done all the work for my M3, S2000, & 540i
a few pics of his work on my 3 cars

practically will restore your car back to factory looking if not better, paint job wise as well as work.
M3, he did a complete paint restore when it got keyed...car looked like i just bought it from the showroom floor.
on my s2k, he's done my front bumper when someone backed into, my downforce splitters, side diffusers, and paint/install of wide front fenders
540, he did the M5 everything for me and paint match.
practilly does it all, Venny is the owner.
