Hey everyone,

I have an uncle who wants to put HIDs in his car since he thinks his halogens are too weak. I suggested new bulbs but he said he'd rather have HIDs. It's like an old 96 Sentra so not looking to put alot into it, just get better headlights.

So, anyone try DDM Tuning HID kits? They seem fairly cheap, and they do come with a lifetime warranty on all the parts. I have DDM bulbs in my s2000 and i love them, no problems whatsoever and they've been in there for a couple months already.

Another thing, when i do get this kit, anyone know a good place to get them installed? I'm in Milpitas so I'm not looking to go all the way to SF or anywhere far. I know s2ki has some good recommendations by that area, but not lookin to drive that far. Appreciate any input.

I have DDMs dual HID kit for my R1 with harness. Been on for over 6 months and I have no complaints. I got it in 5k, has the bright white light with less blue than 6k. Just get the harness with the HID kit and you're good to go.

Everything shipped is less than $90 with tax, so its still a pretty good deal.

Install is plug and play. Only thing you need to worry about is where to place the ballasts. Zip tie all the wires to make them nice and clean, I hate spaghetti wire, and call it a day. Save your $30-50 for install

get an ebay kit for like $55-60 and install it yourself, its just plug n play.. all my friends are running these kits and they seem to be working fine.

Wow, I didn't know it was a simple plug and play, new to HID conversion...

Would I need the harness as well? I don't think the DDM kit comes with one.

You guys should not be running these HID conversion kits. Not only are they illegal, they blind other drivers. Halogen reflectors are not meant to have HID bulbs in them.

I guess DDM is away for the holidays so no tech support from them. I'll wait til after christmas to get the kit, but all i would need is this kit and it is a simply plug and play? Might just end up going to a shop for install...

^ yes its plug n play, only a dumbass honestly would go to a shop to get hid installed. relay harness is if you care about frying your oem wires, as oem halogens run 55watts while most hid kits only need 35, with the relay harness it brings it down to 35wats.

vu - my integra has projectors and they dont have a perfect cutoff line but ive driven behind and in front of it and it doesnt blind others but i cant agree with you more, i hate it when stupid cars with reflector housing get hid kits and blind the hell out of me at night.

guess i'll go for the 55w so won't need to spend more money on a harness.

I wish Sylvania still offered their DOT conversions. Pricey but worth it especially with my oldschool cars
