I need to get new tires but don't know what size to get. Currently I am 17x9 +54 all around, 225 F (stretched tire look that I dont like) and 255 R. I'm stubborn about rolling my fenders because I'm scared it will turn out really bad & no place has guaranteed that paint will not chip. They say S2000 front fender is particularly hard & I believe them.

Car is also lowered to about 1 inch wheel gap all around.

Do you guys think 245 F will fit without rolling?

Also need suggestions on tire brands. I guess you can say I commute but want something that's grippy but won't kill me in the rain.

dont know much about tire sizes and offsets but you should definitely sign up for the spunky fender rolling events thats coming up this week. theres a thread open for the event. i had my fenders rolled by him. no paint cracking/chips. this guy is a pro and im sure he'll know the answers to the questions your asking.

 

Get your fenders rolled by spunky. Period.

As for tires, I just picked up a set of Hankook RS3s from Tire Rack for $550 shipped. Since you are running 17x9s your total would be about $575ish. They are great summer tires! I love them.

 

If you're not rolled in front, 245 will rub in those offsets. It's not really about clearing it 99% of the time, because when your shock bottoms out, an unrolled fender will catch the tire and cause a painful dent/chip far worse than any fender roller would do.

 

245 will not fit without fenders being rolled + a lot of camber

If you want your tires to last longer for daily driving I can suggest sumitomo HTR ZIII with your 17x9 +53 wheels. They have tons of grip especially you're just going to daily drive on them. Rated about 20k miles. Plus you can rotate tires every 5k so that might add another 5k to 10k depending on how hard you drive on them. I will suggest going 245 or 255. Fender rolling is required and custom alignment depending on how low your car is. Spunky has rolled tons of s2000 fenders. You'll definitely be happy with the results. You dont need any crazy fender rolling pulls / flares since you're only running +53 offset. Rolling with very mild pull should be enough.

2.3 front, 2.9 rear. that's not even what i'd call a lot of camber.
