Help me find the guy who stole my Volks
Hey guys, I reported my car stolen on 09/20/10.

Well I caught a break and one of my fellow car club members called me to let me know that he found my GT-P wheels down to the exact sized Bridgestone tires.
I know some of you may have access to information that could help me out immensely, So please PM me with anything you can provide. I also believe the guy who has the wheels most likely bought them without knowing they were stolen. There was a baby seat in the car so I'd likely try to negotiate something where I get my wheels back without having to have this guy placed in a difficult position.

The officer that looked at the wheels says his personal opinion, "Those wheels are definitely yours'" but that he's helpless. I shall meet with an investigator sometime this week.
CalBear07:
There were quite a few ways that I was able to identify the wheels. I just can't post how until the case is resolved.

If you bought the tires from a reputable dealer, they have tire "date codes" on the inside you can use (sort of like a VIN number).
however to do that you would have to get a court order....
Plus if he unknowingly bought stolen merchandise I don't think he can be cited so unless you are willing to pay him what he paid, don't expect him to give you the wheels/tires back. (just a guess as I'm definitely no expert).
