Default help! incorrect reading on gas gauge!

so Arlin brought this up from last week and i figured i'd ask here to see if anyone knows the answer:

why is my gas gauge giving me false/incorrect readings? is it because i own an ap1?
after i park my car, right before i turn the car off, it says 3 bars of gas. after putting the key and turning the ignition to the on-position, it says 6 bars.

is my car trying to troll me, or is it normal for this to happen?
if there's a way to fix this, i'd greatly appreciate it so i can keep track of my gas mileage more accurately.

thanks in advance!

Is it the same day or the day after? Maybe your fuel has just expanded due to high temperature.

Sketch. Are you driving on an incline before parking. Or parking on an incline?

literally right after i turn off the engine, pull the key out, put the key back in, turn to on-mode, and voila! instant 3 bars of gas!

The floating sensor in the gas tank could be getting stuck...research on this.
