Or find a "sympathetic" officer (not easy).

I've tried to cut a deal with my tint shop to remove/replace for less than overall cost of payout. I'd rather pay a tint shop than pay a fine if you're going to have to pay a given amount.

Also, try to find a flaw in your tint, maybe you can get it removed/replaced on warranty if you have one?

Or you can keep the tint on and hope you get a lazy cop to sign it off.

Got a ticket in my civic and took off the tint, When I went to the CHP office to get it signed off the officer just signed the ticket for me. He didnt even go outside. He even offerd to mail my citation for free.

One of those "Its so stupid it just mite work" ideas, But then your screwed if the cop actually goes outside.

Yeah, I was actually aiming for the swapping plates method. There is no other information on the ticket that distinguishes one S2k from another besides the plate # and the color.

So can anyone give me a hand?

The Vin is not on the ticket? (Its been a LONG time for me)

Not to mention if they decide to run the plate and check the vin to the plate . .

IF you get anyone to swap plates, let us know how it goes..

I think you should just go buy 2 clear acrylic sheets (or lexan if they make them thick) at tap plastics and cut out some windows. Either cut the whole shape of the window out or just the part thats actually visible. And when you get there roll your windows down and put the plastic ones in.

But once again this is pretty shady...
