HELP!
my edfc started smoking 
on me while i was driving and the rear damper section said "EL" or something, i ripped it out of my console right when it happened. any clues to what may have cause it? thanks in advance

Smoke + electronics = BAD.
If you controller was reading what appears to be an error code and it was smoking odds are good you have a short somewhere and the EDFC controller is probably toast. Did you spill fluid into it? You 'might' get lucky and it be sort of ok but sounds damaged to me.
