My reply is regarding SA-type helmets (auto racing), not the typical M (motorcycle).

I got mine from Pitstop USA in Petaluma and a friend of mine bought his from Wine Country Motorsports at Infineon. I also know of IO Port in Lafayette and Helmet City in Oakland, but have no experience with those guys.

Pitstop USA was great, I got to try it on right then and there and got it on sale (cheaper than buying online). If you're on a budget, I know IO Port carries discounted older helmets (i.e. Snell 2005), but with less choices of course. Some of the other shops may do the same.

+1 for Wine Country Motorsports. Helpful staff, good weekend hours.

Also HJC FTW.

Wine Country Motorsports is definitely the most popular spot. I just risked it when I got my Arai GP-6 S and got lucky with size and perfect fit. I have the GP-6 S in L if you are interested in trying out the fit some time.

From GP Helmets. They had a nice promo-code running when I ordered mine so I got a nice discount though. Love my GP-6!

Helmet city is online only and no show room

Make sure you call I o port before you go. It's very hard to ind as its someone's house. Very nice guy. I would honk buying at h track is good as you can try and I supports the track

I remember button willow had the bet price on a bell helmet

I just got another motorcycle helmet for now as a auto helmet is pricy and I needed a spare. I will most likely buy one later but at a track event
