LOL .. I hear alot of people in my area (Boonies) Hollister complain too. For the longest time I would see folks in their Escalades and Suburbans flying past me on the freeway (me in my 4cyl 28mpg toyota pu).

However recently I've noticed more people going slower ie 65mph, I don't know if its fact or I'm just imagining things?
I've noticed the same thing. People drive a lot slower now. Cruising at 70, I get almost 30mpg in my beater.

I've been wanting to buy another bug recently... But I know I would totally want to start fixing it up and restoring it if I did find another 69 or 67

The only upside of driving my beater lately is getting 35 mpg.

You can get 93 octane at VP Racing although it's about $4.9x a gallon, and as I mentioned in an earlier post, unlike every other gas station, the price hasn't fluctuated more than 5 cents a gallon in the past 4-5 months.

If you want full 100 octane race gas, they've got that too, although it won't really make a difference on a stock S2000.
Where is the closest VP?

The one I goto is in Los Altos on the corner of Magdalena and Foothill.

I think there is also one in San Leandro.

Doesn't affect me. My S2K get 25mpg and my Fit gets 33mpg. I look at it this way, if it goes up 5 cents, it's only an extra $.50 per fill up in the Fit (only 10 gallon tank). I just drink one less Pepsi can every 2 weeks.

i refuel more often now i figured it'd be cheaper to keep refueling often and pay the gradually increasing price rather than just pay the very high price later
