has anyone eaten at either of these two vegetarian restaurants?
STOA Restaurant & Wine Bar
3750 Fabian Way Palo Alto CA
- or -
Blue Mango
4996 Stevens Creek Blvd San Jose CA
Both restaurants are vegetarian cuisine. I'm looking for a nice vegetarian restaurant to take a date to. I've been to Greens in SF (quite overpriced, frankly) and was considering Millenium in SF but I've read that finding parking can be a pain, and I'm a bit concerned about parking my S in SF.
Thanks for your input guys.

I had lunch at STOA a couple of weeks ago. Good quality food, but pretty expensive. I think it was about $17 for veggie potstickers and a pasta main dish. It's an attractive place and I've heard that it's pretty popular in the evenings. Service was good, and the tables are spaced pretty well so that you're not listening to the next table's conversation.
The weird thing about it is that it's in a commercial/industrial area just west of 101. It's a safe area (what in Palo Alto isn't?) but it will be deserted at night.
It's a decent place to take a date if you're nearby, but I wouldn't drive very far to get to it. It's not much cheaper than Greens, and Greens has a view and a nice place to walk around afterwards (if it's warm enough).

damn Ev, when I saw your reply I thought for sure the biggest pimp-daddy in the Bay is known on a first-name-basis at both of these places.
or do u not date veggie-girls? I like to date em because they're more tasty (if you remember my other, somewhat disturbing thread.)
which reminds me of a bad joke:
Q: What's the hardest part of a vegetable to eat?"
A: The wheelchair.
jezus I'm goin' straight to hell for that one.
