Vu,

I think I'm out. I need to see about getting my steering fixed and I really don't think a drive will help the issue

:/

I'm going to still try and get my car in tomorrow afternoon or friday.
If I can't, then have a great day guys

It's the play issue that I had before my vacation

I have over an inch in each direction before it starts to catch. When I drive my steering wheel can rotate a decent amount and the car won't move... so that's annoying (and probably unsafe) when I'm driving and the car pulls with the road and I need to over correct to stay going straight.

Joey looked at it and didn't see anything immediately wrong

Looking in the manual it says I should tighten the part where the steering column connects to the rack...
Buuuuut, since I don't know how to do that. Joey said I should bring it in to Honda

if you have that much play in your steering wheel that nut wont help much, that nut is there to set to load of the rack against the pinion, That usually doesnt come out of adjustment on its own, and tighten it up to much and it will increase your steering effort or even start to bind. Have you had the car in the air to feel movement in the wheel bearing/tie rod?

Yeah

Like I said, Joey already looked at it and couldn't find anything that stood out as an issue

Looks like I can't go =( I haven't even payed my tuition or bought books yet and I am down to 80 dollars until I get payed on the 31st(and I still need to buy a parking pass and gas to get to school). The gas alone on this trip would cost 50 bucks...sorry guys. I wish I could (also my credit,1000 dollars, is maxed)
