Default hardtop crew

i have a / relationship with my hardtop. on one hand i love the added security, safety, and looks....but on the other, the rattles and creaks drive me nuts.

i've accepted the wind noise, but no amount of adjustments or shin-etsu grease seem to help the other noises.

is this something you guys/gals just live with? am i just being a poosay??

mine was noise free for a while, but now it really only makes noise when i'm pulling into a driveway, but i don't think it's that bad and i'm too lazy to grease the thing up. i can still hear my music fine, that's the most important thing

I got used to the sound. Only time it's kinda annoying is when I take someone for a first ride in a S2000 and they really notice it.

at least you dont have an ugly soft top with a green hazy plastic window and worn out strikers that cause air to leak making driving on the freeway louder than a moaning horse.

i want a hardtop...

Sounds like you need to talk to Jake about cleaning up that rear window.

you could also find someone with a hardtop that doesn't need the strikers and see if they will sell them.

or you could get a hardtop

I had a love/hate relationship with my hardtop, too.

I hated that I couldn't go top down at a moment's notice. I finally sold the darn thing because 1) I thought I was going to sell the car and 2) I was tired of not being able to take it off by myself when I wanted to go topless.

i love my hardtop. it only creeks a little when i go up driveways. other than that, no noises whatsoever and i drive it everyday.

it just sucks when i randomly want to go top down and cant. i've grown to love the look of the hardtop. i cant stand looking at a s2k with a soft top now.
