When I saw this thread, I cringed as I opened it, and my fears were confirmed. I bought my S2000 from Larry Hopkins Honda, and the prices they quoted me on the accessories (including hardtop) were quite a joke. Some were 2x (or more) than the Honda MSRP. After haggling a bit, they gave me their "special" discounted prices, which were still pretty ridiculous. I think I was also quoted something like $3400 for the hardtop. I ended up getting everything from Hardtop guy, and ordering the hardtop through another local dealer.

Honda Windward has the HT going for $3500+. Townside Honda had them the cheapest when I was shopping for them 3 years ago. I paid $2700 shipped. So his price is right in the middle if it were 2001.

Is the OEM one metal or fiberglass? I would rather get a metal one any day of the week if they do in fact make it.
