havent played that yet, finishing DOOM 3 first...how is it hl2? I heard its pretty kick ass but havent really seen much.

 

much better than doom. better gameplay, much better graphics, and also runs on an average comp instead of the nasa computer requirements of doom3 fame.

 

^graphics is not better. gameplay is better. but buy for counter strike source.

Actually, the graphics are a matter of taste. Artistically, Half-Life 2's graphics are better than Doom 3's--it's very atmospheric, and the muted palette gives it a more life-like look.

From a purely technical perspective, however, Doom 3 makes use of more visual bells and whistles.

 

yeh Doom 3 is badass... i run it at 1600x1200 and it looks amazing.
cant wait to start hl2

 

CS Source is pretty kick ass. Made me fall in love with CS again.
